An ubu Kamakura Satsuma Ko-Naminohira tachi signed with four kanji, Naminohira Yasutsuna, who was working around Bunpo jidai (1317-1319). Shinogizukure, iroi mune, ko kissaki, the sori continues through the nakago, bohi ending in kakudome and soebi. Nagasa: 2. shaku 7 sun 7 bu (83.937 cm / 33,014"). Motohaba: 3.275 cm. Sakihaba: 1.734cm, Kasane: 8.63 mm Hosho suguba tight bright habuchi, very fine hanie, kinsuji, nado. The hada is ayasugi mixed with masame, cluster of konie. There is shiraki utsure. The copper habaki is likely original to the blade. Shirasaya with extensive sayagaki by Tanobe Michihiro, noting the sword is chinchin chocho. Chincho is extremely important and valuable, doubling it is for emphasis. I had once asked Tanobe Sensei what that meant. "If there is a fire, this is what you save." Due to its extremely good health, it is likely that it was a temple piece. NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon.
The Naminohira is a subschool of Yamato-den. Yasutsuna was the son of Naminohira Yukiyasu, the founder of the Naminohira school, thus the second generation of the Naminohira school. Price On Request
