The Edo period koshirae has black leather tsukamaki over very good same; fanciful horse menuki, front and back views. The fuchi-kashira, koiguchi, kurikata, and kojiri are all done in lacquer. The saya is black ishimei with red flecks, is decorated with a cloud pattern throughout. The kozuka & kogai, more decorative then functional, are finished in red and black lacquer.
The blade needs polish, and I cannot date it. It is koto, whether Muromachi or Kamakura will require shinsa, and likely polish for a definitive answer. Certainly collectable as is.
Photographing this blade has been a nightmare, so I apologize for the quality of the pictures, but these are the best of over one hundred.
