Omori Dragon and Clouds Tsuba

A large tsuba of a dragon in the clouds with a six kanji is grass script and three regular block kanji Tomomitsu Saku. 7.743 cm x 6.96 cm x 5.89 mm. The plate was treated something to pit the surface to give the clouds an airy quality before the dragon was carved, which is crisp and without any pitting. Crisp carving with gold high lights. Omori Tomomitsu 175 0- 1800. A student of Omori Hidetomo. Ref. Nihon Tosogu Kinko Dai Jiten H.09983.0
