A shinto katana signed nijimei, Fuyuhiro. Shinogizukure, iroi mune, chukissaki. Hawatare: 2 Shaku 2 sun 5 bu (68.18 cm / 26.84"). Motohaba: 2.82 cm. Sakihaba: 2.07 cm. Kasane: 6.9 mm. The hamon is a ko nie deki gunome with ashi iri resemble a crab claw, Kani no Te (蟹の手). The jigane is masame and o-itame nagare, ha nie, chikei, nado. Rated Chujosaku in Nihon Toko Jiten - Shinto Hen, by Fujishiro Matsuo. Valued at 3,000,000 yen in TokoTaikan by Tokuno. NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho. Certificate from the Nagoya Art Museum. Black tsuka maki over white same, large copper and shakudo menuki. The fuchi-kashira are shakudo nanako with gold and shakudo kiri and fern frond mon. A large Heianjo sukashi tsuba of iris 8.28 cm high, 8.44 cm wide, Momoyama or early Edo. Good color and tekotsu. Black saya with golden sageo.
Jakushu Fuyohiro was from Wakasa, and worked around Ka'ei (1624 - 1644). He was was known as Gorozaemon, and was the successor to the koto Fuyohiro. $8,200
