Higo Namako Tsuba

A Shinchu Higo namako tsuba 7.78 cm x 7.52 cm x 0.34 cm. Namako, silhouette of eviscerated dried and smoked sea urchins, are a recurrent theme in Higo tsuba. This one has good age and patina. There are maker's punch marks like *, but I must confess to not knowing who or what they may signify. The Rim has been repaired (see 4 & 8 o'clock in the pictures). Boxed
