Hizen Netted Fish Tsuba

An intricately carved Hizen tsuba. 7.01 cm x 6.71 cm x 4 mm at the mimi, the web is closer to 1 mm. Excellent condition and color, and a design that I had never before seen in my fifty years of doing this. I at first thought this to be a netted fish, but it now appears to be a fish in a basket, and the waves being a reminiscence of its past life.
