An unsigned early set of Kaga abumi decorated with brass honzogan in a pattern like that seen in Kaga Yoshiro tsuba. Monju and family mon on the face, and various mon going around the side and back of the stirrups. An abstract brass wire inlay on the bottom. These were used, and there is some rust damage to the sides and bottom. There are two perforations in one stirrup as pictured. The lacquered on the wood inserts is compromised, and some sections are loose. An excellent decorative set.
