Yoshioka Menuki

A boxed set of married Yoshioka menuki with Kanzan hakogaki. Stylistically a pair, but the the samurai on horseback is far superior workmanship to the seated samurai and his retainer holding the sword. Were they a pair of the quality of the mounted samurai, I might consider submitting for juyo tosogu. The other menuki is good Yoshioka work, and as a set would certainly be collectable. Obviously, Kanzan Sensei felt that the set was worthy of his hakogaki. Something worth owning, either for mounting, or just appreciation. $500
