An ubu hirazukure wakizashi, signed, Iwami Daijo Fujiwara Kunisuke.  Hirazukure, slight sori, bonji  and futatsubi.  Hawatare: 1 shaku 5 bu  (31.817 cm /12.5"). Motohaba: 3.16 cm.  Kasane: 6.3 mm.  Gunomediare in ko-nie with an Osaka yakidashi ,  Itame hada.  Mounted in shirasaya with elaborate two-piece silver foil habaki.  NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon kanteisho.  Valued at 4,500,000 yen in Toko Taikan, and illustrated in Shinto Taikan. 

An Osaka smith, he was a student of the first  generation Kawachi no Kami Kunisuke.  A daisaku work  is illustrated in the Shinto Taikan, see picture below.           $2,600
