Hirata Hikozo Tsuba

An important tsuba by Hirata Hikozo kinko tsuba of ginkgo leaves and gourd, with classic Hikozo hammering around the chukensettsu. As per Robert Haynes, a first generation Hirata Hikozo, but, he commented, that it might be papered to the second, adding " I believe that it is the first generation". The tegane most closely resemble the shodai. 7.58 cm x 7.06 cm x 3.7 mm. This has never been to shinsa.
