An outstanding large Edo mokume tsuba with Shoki the demon queller on the face and a pine tree on the obverse done in katakiribori and keibori. Slight mokugata with a hammered mimi. Signed, Kishu ju Nobutoshi. 8.44 cm x 8.07 cm x 4.8 mm at the mimi. Wonderful condition. He worked from 1850 - 1875. Ref. Haynes H. 7223.0.
