A gun show pickup: an ubu machiokure mumei shinto katana. Shinogizukure, toriizori, iroimune, smallish chu kissaki. Hawatare: 2 shaku 2 sun 3 bu 2.7 rin. (68,26 cm / 26.875"). Motohaba: 2.95 cm. Sakihaba: 1.907 cm. Kasane: 5.5 mm. Fine hanie, pronounced gunome notare, some togare, Very bright controlled thin habuchi, The valleys dropping close to the edge, similar to Muramasa. Itame hada. The bottom mekugiana would imply that it had been mounted as a tachi. Clean and everything is visible, but would benefit from a proper polish. However, there is a small hakobori. The fuchi-kashira are shakudo, nanako with gold dragons in shakudo clouds and a shakudo shishi. I suspect that the missing menuki and tsuba were equally attractive.
