Gunome notare midare hamon in nie deki, gunome choji in the monouchi, ashi iri, yo, long kinsuji, nado. The boshi is hakikaki. Masame, itame nagare, some areas of weak jigane (see below).
The sukashi tsuba is a well executed classic coiled dragon, signed Echizen Ju / Kinai Saku. The saya is modern of decent quality. The tsuka is single string wrap over good same, shakudo and gold furry tailed turtle menuki. The fuchi-kashira are circa 1800, done in shakudo nanako, with takazogan quivers of arrows in shakudo, gold, and silver, signed, Goto __shiro / Mitsumasa saku. Haynes, H05253.0. There is no record of his Kao.
