A well mounted mumei shinto wakisashi, attributed to Nobutaka. Shinogizukure, iroi mune, chu kissaki, torii sori. Hawatare: 1 shaku 6 sun 4 bu (49.68 cm / 19.56"). Suguba ko-midare, ha nie kinsuji, nado. The boshi is ko-maru with Long Kaeri. Bright itame hada, chikei, nado. Never submitted to shinsa.
Black tsuka ito over white same, kinko fuchi with waves in keibori, and shakudo and silver rocks. The kashira is black horn. Early Edo tosho tsuba with sukashi of Kikusui (chrysanthemum on the water). Very nice banded lacquer saya. Very good silver foil habaki. In recent polish. Ideal for the newer collector or serious martial artist. Far too good for ninja wannabes. $3,100
