A katana signed Sashu ju Taira Masayoshi, Hawatare 2 saku 1 sun 5 bu (65.15 cm / 25.65") Motohaba: 2.985 cm. Sakihaba: 1.938 cm. Kasane: 6.48 mm. Shinogizukure with a chu-kissaki. Tight itame packed with small jinie and chike. There is a wide bo-utsure. The hamon chu suguba midare pattern continues into the kissaki. Profuse ha nie. There are clouds of bright course nie above the hamon, like sunagashi. In good polish, mounted in shirasaya with a very good one piece silver foil habaki. Tokubetsu Hozon from the NBTHK (Nihon Bijitsu Token Hozon Kai) dated, An'ei ni nen (1773 February. )attributing the sword to the first generation Hoki no Kami Taira Ason Masayuki. Rated jojo saku in Fujishiro's Nihon Toko Jiten - Shinto-Hen, Valued at 5,500,000 yen in Toko Taikan by Tokuno. Pictured on multiple pages in Shinshinto Taikan. He had 22 swords rated juyo token by 1998.
