Deep, rich blue-black Sendai shakudo tsuba from earliest Edo jidai. 7.543 cm x 7.52 cm 2.8 mm at mimi 4.6 mm at seppa dai. An surprisingly heavy tsuba for it's size. At the time this was made, shakudo was an extremely expensive material.
