An early Shoami moku tsuba with Matsudaira mon. 8.16 cm x 7.19 cm x 3.7 mm. The actual thickness of the plate is less, as thee is a slight hammered rim. A tsuba that is easily overlooked, until you note the profuse tekotsu. A rich black color with tsuchimei surface, and profuse tekotsu both in the face and the rim. This one is for the serious collector who loves the iron.
