A wakizashi Hawatare: 1 shaku 0 sun 4 bu 5 rin (31.55 cm / 12.47"). Motohaba: 1.17cm. Kasane: 2.31 mm. Shinogizukure, mitsu mune, tangobara nakago. nie deki gunome, gunome togare, choji, ashi iri, ha ne, small gifu, nado. Mokume, itame, jinie, chikei, nado. There are a couple areas where core metal has been exposed. Shirasaya, wooden habaki, NTHK-NPO work sheet, and an old Hon'ami certification to Soshu Hiromitsu. The two certificates are in disagreement, and in the light of increased study and knowledge, I favor Miyano's attribution to Sukemune, which I have referenced. I will leave it to future owners to embrace whichever attribution they feel most comfortable with.
NTHK-NPO work sheet awarding 75 points. Rated Chujosaku with a sharpness rating of wazamono in Nihon Toko Jiten - Koto Hen, by Fujishiro; valued at 4.000,000 yen in Toko Taikan, by Tokuno. Most of his work isin tanto, and in the case of katana, some of his work passes as Ichimonji Sukemune. .
