An ubu flamboyant wakizashi signed, Bishu Osafune ju Bizen Sukemitsu. Hawatare 1 shaku 1 sun 3 bu 5 rin (34.39 cm / 13.54") Motohaba: 2.82 cm. Sakihaba: 2.18 cm. Kasane: 5.3 mm. Nioi deki gunome-hako togare midare, in groups of three, deep ashi iri, yo, hataraki, nado. Rough midare with masame in the shinogi ji, hadatatsu. NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho certificate dated, April 30, 1979.
New tsuka maki,; shakudo fuchi-kashira with a gold moon and deep black shakudo trees; the menuki are copper birds. A plain iron tsuba with a shakudo rim, likely early Edo. The saya is golden bamboo splinters.
Noted as a shinshinto smith, however I was unable to find this smith in the Meikan. A good sword for the new collector or martial artist.
