An attractive ubu katana signed, 横山上野大掾藤原祐定 / 備州長船住人 (Yokoyama Ueno Daijo Fujiwara Sukesada / Bizen Osafune Junin). Shinogizukure, iroi mune, chu kissaki. Hawatare: 2 Shaku 2 sun 9 bu 4 rin (69.53 cm / 27.5"). Motohaba: 23.02 cm. Sakihaba: 2.1 cm. Kasane: 5.8 mm. The hamon is a nioi deki chu-suguba with a bright habuchi. Itame hada. In good polish, copper habaki, and a shirasaya missing the tsuka. This has not been to shinsa, so compare this signature on the left to the two control signatures, and it is pretty clear that shinsa would not likely be beneficial. A good sword for the new collector or martial artist, for less than the cost of polish. $2,250
