Waki Goto Menuki & Kozuka

A married set of classic Waki Goto menuki and kozuka. Similar work and motif, though I think that the menuki may be a bit earlier. As per Robert Haynes: 'Very good early Edo Waki Goto work. Not the same story, but perfectly acceptable to mount as a set. Menuki are earlier and better work. Frame on the kozuka needs some repair. Certainly a minimum (for the pair) of $1,500 and up to as high as $2,500'. Well, I am not greedy, and I'd rather sell something at $10 than be a collector at $20. So I am pricing these at $1,600 for the pair, or singly at $950 for the menuki and $750 for the kozuka. The menuki are boxed.
