A wakizashi signed, nagamei, Kii no Kuni Yasuhiro. Shinogizukure, iroi mune, shallow sori, chu kissaki. Hawatare: 1 shaku 5 sun 6 bu (47.4 cm / 18.66"). Motohaba: 3.15 cm. Sakihaba: 2.15 cm. Kasane: 6.6 mm. Choji gunome togare midare in nioi deki, ashi iri, yo, long kinsuji, sunagashi, nado. The habuchi is wide. The boshi is wide midare with a short kaeri. The jigane is hadatatsu itame nagare with mokume mixed in. There is ji nie and abundant chikei. In polish, shirasaya, unsigned sayagaki, copper habaki, NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho ninteisho (June 2, 1973). Ranked chu jo saku in Nihon Toko Jiten - Shinto Hen by Fujishiro, rated at 3,000,000 yen in Toko Taikan by Tokuno.
This is work by the second generation Bitchu Yasuhiro, who later was allowed to inscribe a kiku mon on his nakago. His work style is the the style of Ichimonji, the same as the first generation. He worked in Settsu province, around Jokyo (1684), and was a member of the Osaka Ishido. $5,500
