A late shinshinto wakizashi signed, Bizen Osafune Yokoyama Daijo Fujiwara Sukekane Saku / Meiji Sanjuyon Nen Hachi Gatu Hi   (A day in the eighth month of the  34th year of Meiji :  August 1901).    Ubu, one mekugiana, shinogizukure, iroi mune, chu kissaki, Hawatare: 1 Shaku 8 Sun 1 bu 3 rin  (52. 9275 cm / 27.165").  Motohaba:  2.89 cm. Sakihaba: 2.093 cm.  Kasane: 6.2 mm. Tall gunome midare, some slanting forward sakachoji, togari, in nioi deki.  Tight itame hada.   Ref. Nihon Toko Jiten - Shinto hen, rated; chu saku; Nihonto Meikan, single square;  Shinshinto Taikan; Oshigata Book of Modern Japanese Swordsmiths; Hawlet rated at 10 points.  .  The blade is cleaner than pictures indicate, but needs a polish.  Shingunto koshirae as shown. 

He is the second generation Sukekane, and the 60th generation of Tomonari.    $4,500
