Yoshioka Gold Menuki

A small pair of solid gold menuki, with unusual double pins on the back. As per Robert Haynes, either Yoshioka, school of Somin, Soyo, etc. or Yanagawa which evolved for Yoshioka. Rarely seen in Edo, gold menuki are generally limited to either Momoyama or Meiji. 3.24 cm x 1.63 cm x 4.6 mm / 2.21 cm x 1.75 cm x 5 mm. Very difficult to photograph. $900
