Higo Yatsuhachi Tsuba

A large Higo Yatsuhachi (eight plank bridge) sukashi tsuba. 7.89 cm x 7.7 cm x 4.3 mm. Covered in fine granular tekotsu, which gives the pictures a slightly rough appearance. Excellent color and condition. This is a classic theme used by the Higo Kamiyoshi artists. According to Haynes, not Fukunobu, but a contemporary of his, circa 1800 to 1850. So, I am reducing the price to: $1,400 down from $1,750.
