A red copper tsuba of a tiger and foliage done in katakiribori and keibori.  Red copper with a shakudo rim.  Signed Kiyonori Saku.  7.82  cm x 7.38 cm x 4.2 mm. 

I spoke with Robert Haynes, who confirmed my reading of the mei, and said that it was not in any of his references, and hadno idea who this artist was.  Nonetheless, it is a very attractive tsuba in good condition.  Maybe it will turn out to be the tsuba equivalent of an undiscovered Van Gogh.  Either that, or an attractive paperweight.  $600
