Hirata Kinko Tsuba

A fairly large later generation Hirata tsuba. Copper gourd with silver. Shakudo mimi. There are three obviously intentional dents in the mimi. Why, I have no idea. Some suggest that it was to know which was the sharp edge in the dark. Excellent condition. 7.5 cm x 7 cm x4 mm. $3,000
