A classic Canton Namban tsuba of dragons and tama. Carved and pierced. Silver and gold nunome highlights. Surprisingly, there are abundant globular tekotsu in the rim, not something I would expect to see in Namban guards. 6.9 cm x 6.54 cm x 4.7 mm. A very good representative piece, and of greater interest than it appears at first glance. $225.
