Omodaka Leaf Tsuba

A large sukashi omodaka, likely by Shoami Denbei Ref. Haynes catlog #8, page 56, item #166. Well carved deep black patina and gold nunome. 7.61 cm x 7.75 cm x 3.6 mm. Ref Haynes catalog 10, #208. A difficult tsuba to attribute. The carving resembles Kinai, but the iron is not of that area, the nunome is in Kyushu style. Likely one of the Shoami schools. $650
