A seal stamped Raku tea bowl by the 10th master, Raku Tannyu (1795 - 1854). A low Kuro (black) Raku bowl with bands of brown. Signed with his seal. There is a repaired crack. 12.5 cm x5 cm. He was also known as Aka-Raku (red raku), because of his contributions to the tea ceremony. He entered the priesthood in 1845, and stopped producing pottery.
